-This blade is made of folded 1075 steel and has folded 11 times to create the 2048 layers to increase the flexibility and hardness of the blade and a distinct texture is left on the blade as a result of the repeated folding during the process. The visible tenuous undulating grain on the blade was resulted from folded repeatedly during forging.
-This blade comes with a full length Tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword. this sword is strong enough to cut through a thick bamboo tree with a single strike yet sharp enough to slice paper.
-Koshirae: The Tsuba (guard), Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) of the sword is made of mix steel.. The brass Habaki (blade collar) is a one piece brass construction.Two brass Seppas (Spacer) Secure The Tsuba.
Tsuka: The Tsuka (handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over genuine Ray skin (Samegawa) with black silk Ito.The full Tang of the sword is secured by two brass Mekugi (peg) . you can unassembled the blade from the handle by taking out 2 pegs. Two Menuki (ornament) are on each side of the Tsuka.
